Ground Beef Tacos with Spicy Lime Zest Crema

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 1855 Black Angus Beef ground beef
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For Serving
  • Corn or flour tortillas or hard shells
  • Avocados sliced
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Cotija or sharp cheddar cheese
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Spicy Lime Zest Crema
  • 1/2 c Mexican table cream
  • 1/2 Tbsp lime zest
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, combine the beef and all seasonings, and cook over medium heat until fully cooked. Season to taste and set aside.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients for the spicy lime zest in a bowl and mix together and season to taste. Pro tip: if you make the crema the day before, the flavors really meld together and it's even more delicious!
  3. Assemble tacos, serve and enjoy!
