Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 ribeye steaks, about 24 ounces
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 2 diced garlic cloves
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup Japanese BBQ sauce
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Remove the seeds and roughly chop your bell peppers, dice your garlic, slice your green onions, and set aside.
  2. Slice your steaks into ¼-inch thick slices.
  3. In a bowl, add the two eggs and whisk to create an egg wash. Add your steaks into the egg wash, remove, and season with salt, pepper, and half the garlic.
  4. In a separate bowl, add corn starch. Place your steaks into the corn starch and cover all sides, shaking off any excess.
  5. Fry the steaks in oil at 375 degrees until brown and crispy. Set on a drying rack to drain the oil.
  6. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the rest of the garlic for one minute, add the bell peppers and cook for 3-4 minutes or until soft. Add your green onions, your Japanese BBQ sauce, and the crispy beef. Give it all a stir and serve over white rice.
