Caprese Grilled New York Strip Sandwich with Balsamic Glaze

Pair a perfectly grilled New York strip steak with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil to enjoy summer in a sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 1855 Black Angus Beef New York strip steaks
  • Salt
  • Cracked black pepper
  • 2 ciabatta rolls
  • 4 slices fresh tomato
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup basil, torn
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season all sides of steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Place steaks on grill and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Turn steaks over and grill until an internal temperature of 135°F, about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Remove steaks from the grill and let rest.
  6. Slice steak against the grain and layer on the bottom half of the ciabatta roll. Add layers of basil, tomato, and mozzarella.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze and add the top of the ciabatta roll. Enjoy!
