Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz) 1855 Black Angus Beef Filet Mignon
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon peppercorns
  • 1/2 Tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 Tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dried garlic or granulated garlic
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dill seed
  • 1/2 Tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 Tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh chopped basil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Instructions

  1. Combine all steak seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and generously season both sides with the steak seasoning.
  2. Place the steaks in a shallow dish with olive oil. Allow them to marinate in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. While the steaks are marinating, prepare the basil butter: combine the butter, blue cheese, basil, and garlic in a small bowl. Place in the refrigerator for later.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 450°F. Place the steaks in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Transfer the steaks to a foil covered plate to rest for 2 minutes. You can place the blue cheese basil butter over the steaks to melt while they are hot and resting.
